Service Description

The ever popular group class! Consecutively selling out, if you are due in 2025, now is your chance to grab a space and find out what it’s all about! So what is it all about? 4 classes, 2.5 hours long over 4 weeks running on Thursday evenings. During which you will have opportunities to meet other couples and chat with them, have a cuppa or two, learn ALL about birth and take part in some fun activities and relaxation exercises. “In the first 20 minutes of the first class, you explained birth to me in a way no one ever has before and it suddenly made so much sense!” You will learn all about birth so not only will you really understand how your body works to birth your baby, but you will also understand what to expect during labour and how to manage it. You will learn all about the power of your mindset. That voice in your head that convinces you to buy shoes you don’t need and helps you resist cakes when you are on a diet. It is powerful and persuasive and if it is on your side in birth - it is all you need to push through. You will learn all about breathing and relaxation, so that you have strategies to help you remain calm during your birth, feel relaxed and able to enjoy the experience. You will learn how to manage any anxieties you may have, how to challenge your fears and build a more positive mentality towards birth so that you can look forward to it with excitement. You will learn how to work together with your birth partner and grow closer as a couple - from massage techniques to birth positions, to what to say in different situations. For example if you decide you don’t want an epidural and then start shouting for one - what should your birth partner do? What would a supportive response be? You will learn what to pack in your birth bag, how to choose your place of birth, what to write on a birth plan and so much more! But MOST IMPORTANTLY, you will leave each class feeling more confident about birth. More empowered to advocate for yourself and your birth plan. More informed to make choices and decisions that are RIGHT FOR YOU. More excited for your birth experience. More supported by your birth partner. More reassured that you CAN have a positive birth experience. The course fee covers you and your birth partner(s) for all sessions and ongoing holistic support up to the time of your birth. It includes all your course materials, a goody bag for mum-to-be, as well as refreshments and snacks at every class.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation: The Stirling Birth School reserves the right to amend or cancel any course, course times, dates or publishes prices. Changes to course prices, times and dates will be advised before the course start date and any course already paid in full will not be subject to the increased prices. Should The Stirling Birth School need to cancel part of a course, a refund will only be given for the part of the course not yet delivered minus the cost of course materials. In the case of cancellation by a client, £50 is non-refundable. Further to that, the following cancellation charges will apply: Days before course start date Cancellation charge 30 or more No further cancellation charge 14 – 29 days 50% of course fee 13 days or less 100% of course fee However in the unlikely event the course date you have chosen is cancelled by me, you will be offered an alternative date, if you cannot attend this date, I will refund your full course fee.
